1st Annual Camp Fontanelle Halloween Wilderness Run

What: A 5 km wilderness race or 1 mile walk that is open to all.

When: Saturday, October 30th, 2010

4 pm 1 mile open kids run/adult walk followed by 5K run

5 pm Spaghetti Meal & Awards

Where: Camp Fontanelle (9677 County Road 3, Fontanelle, NE 68044) The 5K race starts by Main Lodge and ends by the Main Lodge. Race is run on hills/bluffs of the Elkhorn River both on and off the trails. 1 mile run/walk on trails only.

Family: All spectators are invited to eat @$5/person. Pumpkin patch & corn maze open. Visit www.campfontanelle.com Family maze open until 7 pm, Haunted maze/movie 7-10pm

Entry Fee: $20 for all runners includes meal and corn maze discounts. If postmarked on or before Tues. October 19, 2010 the entry fee will also include a T-shirt. The entry fee for late registration or race day registration will remain $20, but will not include a T-shirt. Prepay for additional spaghetti meals $5/meal. Return to: Entries may be sent to: Camp FontanelleRace c/o Trent Meyer 9677 County Road 3 Fontanelle, NE 68044. Day of the race entries and packet pick-up will begin in the Main Lodge at Camp Fontanelle at 2:45 p.m.

Awards: The top 3 males and top 3 females each age group in 5K run will each receive medals. A trophy for top male female 5K runner will also be awarded. All kids 1 mile run (14 & under) will receive a medal. The awards ceremony will take place during the meal following the race. Age groups for race are: 14 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over.

Meal & Refreshments will be provided after the race with racing bib used as ticket. Spaghetti, garlic bread, green beans, brownie, and drink. Gatorade and water will be available prior/after the race for participants. $5/plate for nonparticipants.
